Motivational Monday: Inspiring Words to Start Your Week Right

Dear friend,

Today does not have to just be another day of going through the motions in this journey called life. Yes, it’s Monday… I know that most people dread today because it is the furthest from the weekend that you can get. But don’t let that fact be an excuse. Monday was made to be just as important and exciting as your Fridays (crazy thought, I know). We’ve created it to be this terrible thing because we’ve lost sight of all the hope it can actually bring.

Monday is actually a very important day. It is pivotal in how we foresee the rest of the week going. If we approach it with a more negative attitude, we may be setting ourselves up for a long week… One that just drags on and holds no true purpose.

But creating a motivational Monday requires more than just a mind change – it requires a heart change as well.

You see, the mind is much easier to trick than the heart. We can sit at our desks and try to convince ourselves that Monday is not the worst day ever, but if we don’t feel the motivation deep down in our hearts, then can we truly allow our mind to see it differently? Maybe for awhile, but eventually that good feeling wears off and we’re back to the same place that we started – dreading the Monday we have been given.

Motivational Monday

The Call to Change Your Dreaded Monday into Motivational Monday

As I’m typing this out to you, I’m typing it and saying it to myself also. I’m challenging all of us to make this day a motivational Monday – one that is a game changer in the way we approach life.

There will be no more going through the motions or making excuses to not reach our dreams. We are powerful human beings full of desire and inspiration. Even when we aren’t feeling our best, we still have a great opportunity to make an impact.

Create your own motivational Monday by making to-do lists, writing down goals, speaking highly of yourself, paying it forward, or anything else you can think of. The options are endless!

Friends, we never know how many days we will have on this earth. We have to look at each day as being just as important, if not more important, than the one before it. Mondays are no different. I know you’re tired and you probably have a lot of stuff to face this week… trust me, I am right there with you! But imagine how much greater your week could be if you started it off on the right foot. Don’t wait until Wednesday to get to your happy place… find your motivation today and let it carry you through the rest of the week.

By the time Friday comes around, you are going to be one unstoppable dream-chasing, awe-inspiring individual!

Motivational Monday is all about you and your dreams, desires, and goals. This is your opportunity to shine. I believe in you… now I just need you to believe in yourself.

  2. I need to bookmark this and read it every Monday! Seriously, this is so great. I’ve always hated Mondays (except in elementary and middle school, because I seriously loved school so much. #nerd), but I think it has a lot to do with the mindset that I put myself in at the start of the week. I really need to start turning that around! #fireworkpeople

  4. I think I need to read this every week day haha. Monday’s are as hard for me as Thursday’s are. I know that’s weird but right now Thursday is my last day of the work week and for some reason those are my hardest days. I just want to relax but the little guy I nanny always seems to be the most energetic on Thursdays.
